
John Casey, MBA
John's journey is a testament to adaptability, innovation, and leadership, spanning various sectors, including business, non-profits, and entrepreneurship. It began in 2007 at his family's beer wholesaler, where he started from yard duties and gradually transitioned to product delivery while pursuing a business degree at LSU. Taking a small detour for the Catholic Priesthood, John completed his studies at St. Joseph Seminary College, gaining a Liberal Arts Degree.
During this time, he immersed himself in church parishes and engaged in personal growth.
Upon graduating college and discerning out of the Catholic Seminary, John gained valuable insights into public needs and community engagement while helping run his uncle's campaign for the Louisiana House of Representatives. After the campaign was over, John began to work again at Buquet Distributing as the Sales Execution Coordinator. His tenure at the family beer wholesaler was marked by significant achievements, including doubling gross profits through strategic initiatives such as operational streamlining and marketing transformations. He also founded a policy group aimed at shaping governance within the beer industry. In 2021, John played a pivotal role in the sale of the family business.
In 2019, he co-founded Schoolplies, an e-commerce company specializing in the distribution of school supplies, which quickly became a trusted partner for non-profit organizations. Sadly, in 2021, due to the unforeseen circumstance of damage from Hurricane Ida, John and his business partner and sister, Allie Lizotte, had to close the business. Additionally, in 2019, John joined the board of directors for the Krewe of Houmas, where he initiated the Krewe of Houmas Extravaganza, revitalizing membership and fostering collaboration within the club.
His commitment to education was further demonstrated by his establishment of Holy Trinity Academy in 2019, where he assumed the role of Chairman of the Board of Trustees. Holy Trinity Academy now boasts of a 40-acre campus educating grades Pk-12.
In 2020, John became a member of Legatus, a nationwide business organization for Catholic Executives. Today, John is chair of the Legatus Economic Forum, a first-of-its-kind conference for Catholic Executives.
In 2022, John ventured into consultancy, co-founding the Tiger Casey Group, which specializes in providing organizational and growth solutions for both non-profit and for-profit organizations, prioritizing measurable results.
Recognizing the multifaceted financial needs of his clients, John founded the Collective Wealth Group in 2023, focusing on comprehensive financial planning. The following year, he co-founded the DONUM Plan, aimed at maximizing tax credits by redirecting funds towards charitable causes, thus exemplifying his dedication to creating positive social impact.
Looking ahead, John remains steadfast in his pursuit of meaningful change through entrepreneurship, community involvement, and the application of his expertise. Guided by a strong work ethic and compassionate leadership, he embodies the spirit of the Renaissance, staying devoted to his faith, family, education, public policy, and the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty.
